Cleveland Photographic Society maintains an active mentoring program for its members and students. Club members with expertise in certain areas make themselves available to take on a small group of mentees for a certain time period. Depending on the mentor, these can be didactic sessions, field trips or informal gatherings to shoot together.
The program usually starts with a short presentation by all of the mentors so that prospective mentees can find the right mentor to fit their needs. This is followed up by a sign up period where mentees sign up for certain mentors. The Mentor Program usually occurs twice a year.
The Meet the Mentor night was on August 29, 2023 and you can watch a rebroadcast of it on the CPS YouTube channel by clicking here.
