Suburban Symphony Orchestra

A Collaboration with Suburban Symphony Orchestra: We have been invited by the Suburban Symphony Orchestra to display our photographs digitally during one of their concerts this fall. While this is not a traditional exhibit, it is a great opportunity to showcase your work in front of over 300 audience members. You may also physically display your work before and after the show, as well as at intermission. The show is performed at Beachwood High School.The images will guide the audience through the story of the musical pieces. The call for entries will follow the depictions of the music and will be specific. The concert date is not yet determined, but it will take place this fall. Each CPS member may submit up to 2 images. When submitting your image, please indicate the musical piece for which it should be displayed. The musical pieces and descriptions are listed below…
Images Requested: Stars, galaxies, Milky Way, astrophotography, nightscapes
Part 1 Images Requested: Sunrises, calm to increasingly majestic, colorful, and vibrant, dewey mornings, quiet
Part 2 Images Requested: Mid-day jaunty, energetic, full sun, lively days, blue skies, bright flowers, birds, scampering animals, sun-dappled trees, sunlight on ocean, hot air balloons, sailboats, summer fun
Part 3 Images Requested: Sunset, calm to quiet darkness, rest, sleepiness, twilight, lightning bugs, winding down, finishing a day’s work
Pines of Rome: Depicts 4 distinct scenes of ancient Rome
Part 1 Images Requested: Bright, happy, motion, playful, sparkling, motion blurs, bright flowers, picnics, playgrounds, sparklers
Part 2 Images Requested: Shadows, shadowy trees or forests, dark architecture, cemeteries, iron work
Part 3 Images Requested: Cool, calm, shimmering moonlit landscapes (forests, mountains, water), nightengales or another evening songbird

Best of the Best, Tri-C East Gallery

Theme: Pictorial
Exhibit: Nov 12 thru Feb 13 at the Tri-C East Gallery, opening reception Nov 12
This exhibit will showcase the best of the best from 5 area photo clubs including CPS. The theme is pictorial. There will be cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers. The exhibit will take place at Tri-C East from Nov 12, 2026 – Feb 13, 2027. The opening reception will be Nov 12th and all CPS members, friends and family, are encouraged to attend. There will be refreshments provided by the culinary program at Tri-C. This is a great chance to meet with other Cleveland area photographers and sell your work! Tri-C does not take commissions. Unlike traditional CPS exhibits, the photographer will be expected to frame their own work. Each CPS member may submit only 1 image.
