We’ll break down the fundamentals of capturing the Milky Way, the moon, meteor showers, star trails, and night landscapes, focusing on simple camera settings, lens choices, and planning techniques that actually work in the field.
We’ll also take a deeper look at light pollution, what it is, how it affects your images, and what you can do to help the issue. You’ll learn how to read light pollution maps and how to combat it.

Bio:
Brennen is a professional landscape and astrophotographer, workshop leader, and published author with two books available on Amazon, and two more to be released in 2026. As a full-time instructor, she specializes in teaching beginners how to confidently capture the night sky through hands-on guidance, accessible techniques, and real-world experience in the field.
Brennen is also a passionate dark sky advocate, working to raise awareness about light pollution and inspire others to connect more deeply with the stars. She leads retreats around the world, with a teaching style rooted in patience, clarity, and genuine enthusiasm for helping photographers grow.
