To help you improve your photographic skills, we encourage you to participate in the competitions we hold throughout the year. These member-exclusive competitions provide opportunities to think and photograph creatively in several different genres of photography. You can also learn from the critiques and feedback provided by the competition judges and the comments and encouragement of your fellow photographers.

We have two separate competition series – one designed for beginners (“B” Competitions) and a second for more seasoned members. You can only participate in one category or the other. You can choose the category you join based on your previous experience, but regardless which you choose, we encourage you to compete because we’ve found it’s the single fastest way to learn and grow in your photography.

We use an online photo submission site called ShutterScore (developed by our own Randy Beiter) to upload digital images for the projection competitions. To use ShutterScore, you need to register (one-time only) to create a login ID and password, and then you need to login with those same log-in credentials to submit your entries.

If you do not already have a login and password for ShutterScore, click the button below to get started.

We encourage you to add ShutterScore to your browser’s favorites so you can find it easily when you want to submit a digital entry.

We look forward to seeing your images!
