 n\n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT WALLY NELL\n\nWally Nell (FPSSA\,FPPSDC)\, original
 ly from South Africa\, has lived in Egypt for 6 years and is now back in t
 he United States\, currently in the Akron/Cleveland\, Ohio area. He is a p
 rofessional freelance photographer who has contributed to ZUMA Press\, and
  other publications and news agencies while working both in the Middle Eas
 t covering news and documentary work\, and covering sport and other event 
 photography in the USA. He bought his first camera in 1984 and by 1986 he 
 was doing sport and photojournalism for The Star\, a major newspaper in So
 uth Africa. He accredits some of his initial growth to the fact that he be
 longed to a camera club in Johannesburg\, and the friendly rivalry he had 
 with fellow photographers. As an amateur photographer he received a Fellow
 ship from the Photographic Society of Southern Africa (FPSSA).\n\nIn 1990 
 he moved to the United States and eventually settled in San Diego\, CA. Du
 ring his time in the US\, his clients required sport photography\, portrai
 ture\, journalism and wedding photography. He has received numerous awards
  and has had a number of exhibitions in various locations both as part of 
 exhibitions and alone. As a professional photographer he joined the Profes
 sional Photographers of San Diego and soon gained a Fellowship from them a
 s well (FPPSDC). He has been reported on by a San Diego newspaper for his 
 wedding photography\, and a national sport magazine did an article on him 
 on his volleyball photography.\n\nAmong others\, his work has appeared in 
 Sports Illustrated\, National Geographic Traveler\, Outside Magazine\, New
  York Times\, London Times\, North County Times\, Honolulu Star Advertiser
 \, The Star\, Volleyball Magazine\, DIG Magazine\, Southern California Hom
 e and Outdoor magazine\, San Diego Sport Magazine\; and commercial clients
  include NIKE\, SPEEDO\, VISA\, Mountain Dew\, Club Sportswear\, Freestyl
 e Watches\, the United Nations and many more. His images have graced the c
 overs of many magazines.\n\nHe has also been an invited photographic prese
 nter/lecturer in a number of international institutions in the USA\, Mexic
 o\, South Africa\, Australia and Egypt\, and has developed course material
  for photography schools.\nWhile covering the Egyptian Revolution in early
  2011\, he was shot while covering protests\, but has fully recovered.\n\n
 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
