DESCRIPTION:Photo done by Barb Pennington\n\n \;\n\nPRESENTATION TITLE:   “Fun With Architectural Photography – Tips &\; Techniques”\n\n DESCRIPTION OF PRESENTATION:  What is the best way to create unique\, mem orable architectural photography?  This Power Point will touch upon vario us technical aspects that are essential for creating good images as well a s the more subjective and inspirational aspects that can inform the photog rapher’s eye.  Do we have an iconic image\, or even a favorite muse tha t has influenced our style over the years?  The presentation will touch u pon the more creative viewpoints that go beyond the dry technical guidelin es that are the foundation of skilled photography.  Whether you are an av id beginner or professional\, these images should appeal to something in y our imaginative nature.\n\nBIOGRAPHY:\nPhotographer and artist Stuart Pea rl is a lifelong Clevelander who loves to promote Northeast Ohio’s growt h and transformation.  He believes that subjects like the Innerbelt Bri dge Project\, urban skylines and the Emerald Necklace all present opport unities for telling stories through the art of photography.\nPearl’s do cumentary technique is to be patient and methodical. Looking for the spec ial light that transforms a mundane scene into a memorable image\, he ena bles the viewer to see his surroundings in an entirely different way. His goal is to create iconic images that have lasting impact.  Pearl care fully frames and times his compositions in a way that creates an eng aging narrative between photograph and viewer.  He always strives to ga in access to unique sites around Cleveland that at first may appear common but in fact tell the story of the city beginning at its core.\nPearl be lieves that photographers should support one another through mentoring and constructive critique as part of the creative process.  One of the ways he accomplishes this is as a volunteer judge for NE Ohio’s art and photo graphy organizations. As an artist himself\, he believes there is a res ponsibility to foster dialogue between these groups within our larger com munity.  This can help create a stronger cultural appreciation for everyo ne. He has exhibited in the Metroparks\, Erie Art Museum and Butler Instit ute of American Art.
