- Introduction. Bring your camera and manuals to all classes
- Camera Familiarization. Individual instruction on all models of cameras
- Downloading, organizing and storing your images
- Tripods. Review of different types, styles, ball heads and monopods
- Lenses and filters – how to help you determine what you need
- Exposure. Understanding shutter speeds and f-stops
- Indoor portraiture using simple lighting techniques
- Environmental portraiture using natural light. Posing techniques
- Close-up photography techniques and equipment
- Flash photography – equipment, techniques and tips
- Unlock your imagination to make creative photos
- Effective composition – the rules and when to break them
- Night photography made easy, including fireworks
- Photoshop preview
- Digital camera settings, menus and techniques
- Field trips to help you practice your skills
- Constructive critique of students’ work

for enrollment and payment options for any or all courses
Course fees must be paid in full by the first class. Partial payments cannot be accepted. Registration includes a 4 month membership in the Cleveland Photographic Society. Refunds for withdrawal will be honored if they are requested by notifying the school director during the first week of class. A withdrawal fee of $10.00 will be deducted from the refund. The refunding process usually takes three to four weeks. Cleveland Photographic Society is a not for profit corporation and the purpose of these classes is to increase the understanding, interest and enjoyment of photography
