Course Content:
- Digital photography file types, file management and workflow
- Introduction to the Photoshop Elements workspace
- Basic Adjustments: brightness/ contrast, hue/ saturation and levels
- Creating selections with lassos, magic wand and marquee tools
- Layers made easy – Understanding and using layers
- Removing unwanted parts of the photo
- Cropping, sharpening and emailing photos
- Special effects: black & white, filters, frames and artistic styles
- Selective lightening and darkening (dodging and burning)
- Techniques to fix troublesome areas of your images
- Camera RAW conversion
- Demonstration of Photoshop creations
- Constructive critique and help with student’s work

for enrollment and payment options for any or all courses
Course fees must be paid in full by the first class. Partial payments cannot be accepted. Registration includes a 4 month membership in the Cleveland Photographic Society. Refunds for withdrawal will be honored if they are requested by notifying the school director during the first week of class. A withdrawal fee of $10.00 will be deducted from the refund. The refunding process usually takes three to four weeks. Cleveland Photographic Society is a not for profit corporation and the purpose of these classes is to increase the understanding, interest and enjoyment of photography
